GOAL: We will develop an attractive region for existing and future residents and businesses by supporting improvements in physical infrastructure, affordable public transportation, public safety, civic engagement and the environment.
Key Initiatives:
Retirement – Develop and execute a targeted marketing plan based on the data collected through the market research analysis.
Transportation – The Partners for Progress Transportation Advisory Board will remain focused on serving as a driving force in advocating for our transportation needs and spearheading efforts to make needed improvements.
- Promote knowledge, awareness, and adoption of a Complete Streets Policy by City and County governments.
- Pursue a single transportation provider for Baldwin County to provide DHS and Rural Public Transit (5311) services and market it to potential users.
Quality of Life – Our future depends on the preservation or enhancements of a wide range of integrated elements that together express the robustness of our culture and the positive perceptions of those things that make us healthy, safe, comfortable, secure and involved. This group plans to identify alternatives to closing/reducing accessibility of collection centers and work to become better stewards of our environment through green initiatives.
