Buy one of the Chamber’s golf balls for $5 or snag 3 for $10.  If your numbered ball drops into the cup or is the closest to the hole you will win up to $1,500 in cash. On April 15th following the Chamber Golf Classic, the golf balls will be launched from a front-end loader over the #18 hole of the Golf Course at the Milledgeville Country Club.  The proceeds from the Golf Ball Drop will be used to assist with ongoing  programs and development initiatives of the Chamber.

Please join us as we embark on the Community Vision Project for Milledgeville-Baldwin County.  Join other key community stakeholder on April 11, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. at Crockett’s Cafeteria on North Columbia Street as we take the first steps in forming a Unified Community Vision plan.  The Chamber’s Partners for Progress Business Development Committee has gathered strategic planning documents from various entities and organizations throughout Baldwin County in order to identify the top priorities for businesses, local government and the future of our community. Through these visioning sessions facilitated by the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, we will develop a plan that will incorporate all of the resources available in Milledgeville-Baldwin County and outline how we can best use those resources to achieve these goals together.

Join us for lunch on Monday, March 25th for our local Drugs Don’t Work Kick-off.  Attendees will hear from Chuck Wade, Drugs Don’t Work, State Director on how to save your business MONEY and implement a program that has proven results!

REGISTER:   Monday, March 25th  11:30 am-1:00 pm the Education Center at ORMC.  Lunch will be provided.

In order to achieve drug free certification in Georgia, a company must meet these requirements:

• Have a substance abuse policy.  A sample policy is available via e-mail.
• Implement (limited) drug testing.  Discounted drug testing rates are available via contracted services with Oconee Regional Medical Center.
• Conduct employee and supervisor training.  DVDs and training assistance provided by the Chamber
• Have an EAP or a referral list.   A free list of counselors is available.
